At its core, the Z50 uses tri-angle laser scatter combined with advanced flow cytometry and chemical dye technology, enabling accurate 5-diff WBC differentiation even on samples with elevated Eosinophil counts — a common challenge for traditional analyzers. A dedicated channel and optical method for Basophil measurement ensures superior basophil counting performance compared to conventional impedance-based methods.
The analyzer features two on-board lyses in a compact design built on highly integrated electronic boards, with a simplified liquid path system tailored for small labs and clinics. It supports venous blood, capillary blood, and pre-diluted blood sample types, making it flexible across a wide range of patient populations including paediatrics and elderly patients where venipuncture can be challenging.
